His real name is Kim Jong-in, and he was born on January 14, 1994, in Korea. He stands tall at 182 cm and weighs 64 kg with a slim body. His shoe size is around 270mm, and he has blood type A. Kai has two older sisters, one with a 9-year age gap and the other with a 5-year gap. Additionally, he is a proud owner of three dogs named Mong-gu, Jjang-gu, and Jjang-a.

 

 

 

Since May 11, he has been fulfilling his mandatory military service, which is expected to conclude on February 10, 2025. Unfortunately, due to his military obligations, it may be challenging to see Kai participate in EXO's comeback activities. However, there is some good news as he reportedly participated in the recording, so fans will still be able to hear his voice.

 

 

In EXO, Kai holds the positions of the main and center dancer. He also takes on the roles of a sub-rapper and sub-vocalist. Moreover, he is a main dancer in SuperM, which further showcases his exceptional dance skills. Kai made his solo debut on November 30, 2020. Kai takes great pride in being the center of the extraordinary group, EXO, and is known for his exceptional dance skills. He expertly expresses the rhythm, melody, and various techniques in his dance, showcasing remarkable control over dynamics. Despite his young age, Kai's dance skills are unmatched, and he consistently delivers near-perfect performances.

He finds novels more imaginative than movies, which often inspire him when it comes to dance moves and costume ideas. In fact, Kai envisions choreography, music, and costumes for performances himself, highlighting his creative prowess.

 

 

His charisma on stage is unparalleled, and he is often chosen as the most charismatic member by his fellow groupmates. Although his appearance may give a strong impression, his on-stage and off-stage charisma are said to be quite different, leading to some misunderstandings.

 

During his solo career, Kai secured the top spot on a music show in March of the current year. The stage name "Kai" means 'open' in Chinese, and it holds significant importance in EXO's concept and storyline. He is the only member capable of navigating between the worlds of EXO-K and EXO-M, which likely influenced the creation of his stage name. This also contributes to why Kai is considered the center of EXO.

 

 

Remarkably, Kai is the only member who handles center, vocal, rap, and dance responsibilities simultaneously. Similar to Sehun, he has a substantial number of older sister fans, likely due to his younger yet strong and sexy image. Kai served as the dance mentor to Lay, a former member of the group. Standing tall at 182 cm, he is one of the tallest members in EXO, alongside Chanyeol and Sehun. Interestingly, despite his height, Kai has smaller hands and feet, which he believes might have enhanced his dancing had they been larger.
