His real name is Byun Baek-hyun, and he was born on May 6, 1992, in Korea. He stands at a height of 174 cm, weighs 64 kg, wears a shoe size of 265 mm, and has blood type O. He has an older brother who is 6 years older than him, and he has a dog named 몽룡. He completed his military service as a social worker on February 5, 2023.

 

 

He is a member of EXO-K and also a member of EXO-CBX. At the same time, he is the leader and main vocalist of a group called SuperM. He made his solo debut on July 10, 2019. I was curious about SuperM, so I did some research and found out that it is a 7-member multinational boy group under SM Entertainment. They debuted on October 4, 2019.

When he first joined SM, his boss informed him that he would debut as the main vocalist in just six months. Impressed by Baekhyun's voice, his boss had high expectations for him. This placed a tremendous responsibility on Baekhyun, and he would stay up until the early hours of the morning every day, diligently practicing his singing. At one point, the immense pressure led to him developing a fear of the stage and uncertainty about his future.

 

Baekhyun possesses great versatility and is capable of handling various genres such as rock, ballad, hip-hop, R&B, and dance. His smooth midrange voice is one of his notable strengths. With his captivating tone from the very first verse, he also excels in stage performance and often adds personal introductions to his songs.

Additionally, he has a great passion for gaming. Even when he goes on concert tours, he brings along a laptop to play games. Gaming serves as a stress-reliever for him, and he particularly enjoys playing League of Legends and Battlegrounds. It is said that he is quite skilled at these games.

 

During his childhood, Baekhyun dedicated nine years to learning aikido and even achieved a gold medal in national competitions. Moreover, since 2021, he has been engrossed in learning golf.

 

 

Baekhyun grew up with a dream of becoming a singer after being inspired by the singer "Rain" during his childhood. His current role model is Chris Brown. Interestingly, during high school, he served as the vocalist in a band.

 

On the day of his entrance exam for the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Baekhyun caught the attention of an SM Entertainment casting staff while practicing in front of the school. Subsequently, he entered SM Entertainment through an audition. At the end of the audition, only two candidates remained, Baekhyun and Chen, and they both passed together.
