Now that I’m full enough, I’m going to look around the university. Hankuk University is renowned for its spacious and beautiful campus. Many locals come here for a stroll on weekends.

 

Moreover, during the festival season at Hankuk University, numerous students from other universities visit to enjoy the festival. Since it's winter now, the flowers haven't bloomed yet, but when April arrives, the cherry blossoms bloom in abundance, creating a truly magnificent sight.

 

In Korea, more than 70% of students go to university after graduating from high school. Hankuk University is known for admitting the most talented students. Additionally, they have well-established study abroad and exchange student programs, attracting a large number of international students.

 

Most universities have student cafeterias where students can enjoy delicious meals at affordable prices. Students often refer to it as 'Haksik' in short. The menu options are diverse, allowing you to choose the type of food you desire. However, some students claim to get tired of eating at the student cafeteria despite the variety of choices.

 

 

 

 

Hence, when they crave a specific food or wish to socialize with friends in the evening, they go to the restaurants around the campus. Korean university students are diligent in their studies, but they also enjoy socializing and drinking with friends. Particularly, first-year students often gather for drinks to get to know each other when classes begin in March.

 

Korea is renowned for its advanced IT technology, and this extends to university facilities as well, providing students with convenient services. For instance, you can download the university's application on your smartphone and use it as your student ID.

 

 

 

The application allows you to borrow books from the library, check the student cafeteria menu, and view your final exam grades. Wi-Fi is available in all classrooms, and you can easily check and utilize vacant lockers. Additionally, vending machines accept credit card payments for purchasing drinks.

 

I see a tall and impressive building over there. That is the library of Hankuk University. Even though classes haven't begun yet, many students are already utilizing the library.

 

 

 

 

While borrowing books from the library is not as common among Korean students, many of them utilize the reading rooms for studying. During midterms and final exams, numerous students flock to the library, resulting in scarce available seats despite its large size.

 

Furthermore, I can see the building of the Korean Language Institute of Hankuk University over there. That is where I and other foreign students will study Korean together.

 

I am eagerly looking forward to starting my studies and having a great time at Hankuk University with students from various countries next week. I hope next week arrives quickly.
